Who can do this?
Practitioners only (eligible professions)
With healthcare becoming more accessible through technology, Halaxy allows practitioners to share prescriptions with patients for their record-keeping purposes. By having prescriptions listed in the patient portal, patients can easily keep track of their medication and their wellbeing.
Note
To share prescriptions, first make sure that you have Note Sharing enabled in your Settings > General page, under the Patient Access section.
-
After publishing the prescription, next to the Save button, click the down arrow, and select Share with Patient.
-
In the pop-up, the patient's other prescriptions are listed alongside the one you opened, which is already ticked. Tick the checkbox for each additional prescription you want to share.
-
Prescriptions you have already shared, or that have been cancelled or ceased, aren't listed, so you can't share the same prescription twice.
-
To narrow a long list, enter a drug name or date in the search box above the list.
-
-
Confirm the patient’s email address and click Share.
-
Once the patient logs into their account, their prescriptions are listed in the My Health Notes section.
Note
The email address must match the same email the patient uses to log into their patient portal. If the patient hasn’t signed up to Halaxy yet, they receive an email invitation to activate one.
